Starting April 1, seven additional immigration control points will be opened at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 for departing Filipino workers (OFWs), as announced by the Bureau of Immigration (BI). In total, Terminal 3 will have 14 control points for OFWs, confirmed by BI spokesperson Dana Sandoval in an interview with the Philippine News Agency. She added that managing the new points will be 25 additional immigration service staff.
With the new immigration control points at Terminal 3, the number of workstations in the departure zone will be 57, in the arrival zone - 46, and there will also be access to all eight electronic gates. Last year, Terminals 1 and 3 of NAIA had two lounges for OFWs, providing free amenities to ensure a comfortable waiting experience before departure.
