The awards for national levels will take place in 2025, with participation in three locations. The winners from each country will advance to the regional level - The Filipino Times Watchlist: Top Awards in the Middle East. After the success in the Middle East, The Filipino Times Watchlist Awards will also expand to key regions around the world, with planned versions in the Asia-Pacific region, the United Kingdom and Europe, and the Americas.

Since 2014, The Filipino Times Awards have become The Filipino Times Watchlist Awards, supporting the achievements of outstanding Filipino engineers, architects, and healthcare workers. In addition to the awards, The Filipino Times Watchlist Summit serves as the largest international gathering of Filipino professionals abroad, promoting collaboration, innovation, and leadership at the international level.

The ceremonies for the awards for winners from the UAE and Oman will take place in the UAE, while the awards for The Filipino Times Watchlist: Top Engineers and Architects 2026 and The Filipino Times Watchlist: Top Filipino Healthcare Professionals 2026 will be announced on March 29 and 30, 2026.

Commenting on the expansion of The Filipino Times Watchlist Awards, Karen Remo, General Director and Founder of New Perspective Media Group and Publisher of The Filipino Times, said: "This expansion is a testament to the growing influence and prominence of Filipinos not only in the Middle East but around the world."

"Responding to the huge public demand and adhering to international standards, the awards will now be launched at the national level ahead of transitioning to regional competition. This significant step ensures a more localized and inclusive approach to recognizing outstanding Filipino engineers, architects, and healthcare workers in the Middle East," added Vince Ang, the executive director of New Perspective Media Group and General Director of The Filipino Times.
