At the Anilag festival, singer Juan Carlos "JK" Labaho almost honored the memory of the deceased Trisha Makalagay, who recently perished in a fire at the Lagun State Polytechnic University. During his performance, Labaho dedicated the memory of Makalagay with the song "Through the Years" from the movie "Grandpa and the Little One" - a favorite song of the young woman. The artist also publicly stated a short message on his Facebook page: "Maraming Salamat, Trisha Makalagay." The Makalagay family expressed gratitude for Labaho's tribute, noting that it brought them comfort and peace. Trisha Makalagay, a student of biology and coral beauty, was the only one who perished in the fire that broke out on March 13 in the College of Arts and Sciences building in Barangay Bubukal, Laguna.
