
Chelsea Manalo, representing the Philippines, did not secure the Miss Universe crown at the 73rd edition of the pageant. However, she achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first recipient of the newly introduced Miss Universe – Asia title. This announcement was made during the press conference that followed the crowning of the new Miss Universe, Victoria Kjær Theilvig from Denmark.
After the competition, during an event, the Continental Queens were also recognized and given their respective titles. Among them were Matilda Wirtavuori from Finland (Europe and Middle East), Tatiana Calmell from Peru (Americas), and Chidimma Adetshina from Nigeria (Africa and Oceania). These queens will represent their continents and serve as ambassadors, similar to the role of the current Miss Universe.
Chelsea Manalo's journey in the Miss Universe 2024 competition concluded when she did not advance to the Top 12 round. A total of 125 contestants vied for the prestigious title, ultimately won by Denmark's Victoria Kjær Theilvig, who became the first winner from Denmark in the history of Miss Universe, ending an eight-year drought for Europe.
