Alex Gonzaga experienced her third miscarriage in December last year, as revealed by her husband, Lipa City councilor Mikee Morada. The heartbreaking news was shared in Toni Gonzaga's latest vlog on her YouTube channel, Toni Talks.
"To be honest, at first, Catherine and I, when we learned she was pregnant... we really didn't expect it, we had no plans," said Mikee. The couple was surprised by the pregnancy and immediately sought medical advice in the hopes of saving the baby. However, a week later, they received devastating news that the baby's heartbeat could no longer be detected.
Mikee shared the emotional journey, recalling the moment he heard the baby's heartbeat for the first time and the subsequent heartbreak. Despite their efforts to be cautious and the initial positive consultations, the baby's heartbeat dropped to 65 bpm during the third ultrasound.
The couple's heartbreaking experiences have strengthened their bond, as Mikee expressed, "At the end of the day, I always say, whether we are blessed or not, as long as we are together, it's okay." Alex and Mikee got married in November 2021 and faced their first miscarriage in the same year followed by another in 2023. They are now considering taking time to prepare physically before trying again.
