Diamond Alista shared her experience of choosing to be in a relationship with a non-Filipino who was unfamiliar with their culture, recalling the comments and fears expressed by people around her. Despite concerns about cultural differences and financial issues raised by others, she emphasized that her partner was supportive and caring, providing her with love and attention that she had missed while focusing on work.
"There were many comments that they would break up anyway," Alista recounted some of the skeptics' remarks. "I always heard from them that their partners do not give money, yet they are the ones being taken advantage of," she added. "They also think that my husband already has a wife in their place."
Contrary to the doubts and criticisms she received, Alista affirmed her happiness and contentment in her relationship, emphasizing the understanding and supportive nature of her husband. Despite initial reservations from family and friends, she stood by her decision and eventually tied the knot with the man she loved.
"Being a workaholic, she constantly received a lot of comments from friends urging her to settle down," Alista shared. "The hardships I experienced in work at home before, he wanted to eliminate all of that hardship."
Through her story, Alista wanted to inspire others who might be facing similar doubts or pressures from society about finding their forever. She highlighted the importance of following one's heart and believing that love will prevail despite challenges. Ultimately, she found joy in her marriage and expressed gratitude for the unwavering support and love from her husband.
"After their wedding, Alista's husband proved to be the exact opposite of their haters' fears," she shared. "Even if not wealthy, as long as you can provide, respect, and love."
As she embraced married life in her forties, Alista reflected on the journey that led her to where she is now, emphasizing that love knows no age limits. She encouraged others still waiting for their forever to remain hopeful and patient, as she did until she found her partner in life.
