She recalled his strength and courage throughout his battle with cancer, describing him as the bravest and strongest person she had ever known.
"You were the best decision I ever made was to be with you and never leave your side," Malca wrote. She shared how Ricky often checked if she was tired, and her response was always, "I will never get tired of taking care of you—because we are in this journey together." Malca expressed how Ricky made her believe in unconditional love, helping her discover a part of herself that could endure anything for love.
"Bubba, I love you so much," she expressed her deep love for him. Malca thanked Ricky for his love, courage, trust, and for allowing her to walk with him through his most difficult days. She shared her struggles with his absence, feeling a profound emptiness and stating that life doesn't feel right without him.
Ricky Davao passed away due to complications from cancer, as confirmed by his daughter Ara on Friday evening. He was 63 years old. Throughout his four-decade career, Ricky earned acclaim for his roles in various films like Abot Hanggang Sukdulan, Saranggola, and Ipaglaban Mo The Movie. His contributions to the industry were recognized by prestigious award-giving bodies such as FAMAS, Gawad Urian, and the Metro Manila Film Festival.
