At Terminal 1 of NAIA airport, there was a collision with a vehicle, resulting in the death of a five-year-old girl. Her mother also sustained injuries, however, her condition is currently stable.

The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) stated that it provides full support to the family of the girl. The father of the deceased girl is an officially contracted overseas Filipino worker who was preparing to leave for Europe when the tragedy occurred.

DMW also assists the officially contracted overseas worker in explaining to his employer the delay in leaving due to the tragedy involving his family. The department joins the family and offers strong support in their request for the responsible party to be held accountable for the tragedy.

The incident occurred around 8:00 AM on May 4th, when passengers and their companions were waiting outside the terminal. Initial reports indicate the driver lost control at the wheel, after which the vehicle crashed into the crowd.

DMW reported that it indicates the necessary assistance and support for the injured wife of the officially contracted overseas worker, who is in critical condition after also being struck by the vehicle.
