Chris Acquino has shared her radiant news that she has no visible signs of cancer, thanks to everyone who prayed for her. "Thank you," she said. "Mom, until they make a biopsy, let's trust God that you are free from cancer," her son told her.
Chris described how emotionally she explained the situation to her younger son, Bimba. "It’s hard to see how my 17-year-old son is doing everything he can to be strong," she shared. Her mother, former Philippine President Corazon Aquino, and her grandmother were both diagnosed with colon cancer.
On Instagram, Chris Acquino shared her recent medical experience, including a case of suspected cancer. As she described, her PET scan showed activity in the area of colon cancer, which is indicative of possible tumor growth. After further evaluation, one of her doctors told her good news.
"From the bottom of my heart, I cry after my doctor left. But God hears even then when we don’t specify our prayers because He sees what’s in our hearts," she said. However, Chris also disclosed that three of her autoimmune conditions remain life-threatening.
Despite all the difficulties, Chris remains hopeful and determined to fight for her health. She added that she is currently working on a new show with Darla Sauler, which is expected to premiere by the end of 2024.
Chris recently returned to the Philippines in September after a two-month stay in the USA, where she received treatment for her autoimmune conditions. "Medical experts and the medical team at SLMC said they have never seen me so gloomy." Lola will definitely help you navigate through this, and if anything, mom, this is an early detection. I know that you prayed, but I didn’t disclose why specifically you prayed.
"I promised myself not to give up. The fight continues. Clean intestines. So that you won’t get tired of praying. You know how you can talk without stopping? I need a goal, something that we can all wait with anticipation."
