
As a result of the destructive tropical storm "Kristin" (international name: Trami), the United Arab Emirates expressed solidarity with the Filipinos. The tropical cyclone, which entered the territory of the Philippines on October 21, brought serious damages and atrocities in the Luzon region, leading to the loss of lives of several people. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in its statement expressed condolences and sympathies to the families of the victims, as well as expressed hope for the swift recovery of those affected.
As of October 25, the National Council on Reducing Risks stated that the number of casualties rose to 13 people, while more than 2.6 million people were affected. A total of 569,524 families were impacted by the aftermath of "Kristin", of which 64,447 families are currently in evacuation centers. The most significant number of affected individuals was registered in the Bicol region.
