Successful Repatriation of Filipino Workers from Kuwait

Today, October 29, the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) announced that a group of 60 Filipino migrants was successfully repatriated from Kuwait, including five minors. They arrived on flight EK336 and were met by the NAIA Terminal 3 airport team of OWWA for assistance with immediate needs and further processing. They were provided with accommodation, financial support, food assistance, and onward tickets for their further relocation to their provinces, which were necessary for them.

OWWA personnel provided assistance in addressing all emerging issues and ensured the necessary support for each repatriated OFW. Additionally, a comprehensive package of support measures was provided, including temporary accommodation, psychological counseling, stress debriefing, and transportation services.

Simultaneously with the returning group to the homeland, support was organized for 55 OFWs who returned to the country on October 3. OWWA does everything possible to provide assistance to compatriots from various countries in Asia, the Middle East, and other regions in resolving their repatriation issues. They are also ready to provide support upon the return of citizens, as well as in cases of deceased OFWs, particularly in cases of political turmoil or natural disasters.
