82-year-old representative of the 1st district, Albay Edsel Lagman has passed away. This was confirmed by his daughter, Mayor Tabaco Krisel Lagman. The death occurred on Thursday at 17:01 from cardiac arrest.
Mayor Krisel described her father as a person with "integrity, compassion, and fearlessness," who left life in a non-discriminatory system and hope. She highlighted his legacy as a protector of human rights and loyalty to the law, passed down from father to son, brother, uncle, and defender.
Lagman, who was president of the Liberal Party, passed away surrounded by family.
