
The President of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the chief of the Unified Command of Germany confirmed their commitment to strengthening military cooperation during a meeting at the Munich Security Conference. It was noted that the main focus was on expanding collaboration in areas such as cybersecurity, military education and training, as well as joint maritime operations.
The Philippine armed forces stated that the goal of this interaction is to strengthen interoperability and capabilities in countering common security threats. Following high-level consultations in Munich, the relationship between the Philippines and German partners was intensified.
"Philippine military officials stressed that the mission of strengthening interactions with Germany is highly valued in the context of the joint fight against security challenges," it is noted in the statement on the Philippine armed forces' website.
