As reported by the Philippine Coast Guard, a Chinese military vessel conducted dangerous maneuvers in narrow waters, endangering the safety of other ships. The incident occurred over the course of several minutes in international waters of the South China Sea.
A representative of the Coast Guard stated: "We categorically condemn this unreasonable and dangerous act, which could lead to an incident posing a threat to the lives and property of crew members of the vessels."
"We strive to avoid collisions and comply with international laws and norms, as outlined in the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea," the Coast Guard representative added.
