President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. began his speech during the meeting of candidates from his party in Manila, ensuring their safety. "Allow me to reiterate our candidates, because I am convinced that they are all present and none of them are under attack by the authorities," said Marcos. He also noted that the strength of his alliance is based largely on the integrity and extensive experience of the candidates. "Our candidates need landscape, not riddles, hot words and ostentatious phrases that have no real meaning," the president emphasized. He added that this distinguishes his alliance from other participants in the elections. "You will not hear from us bad words, threats or mistakes," said Marcos. In response to a statement by former President Rodrigo Duterte about "the assassination of senators" at the meeting of PPD, Marcos expressed masked protest. "We do not employ such methods," he emphasized.
