
On the day of the funeral of Filipino migrant worker Daphne Mayts Nakalabangan, who was killed in Kuwait, relatives and local residents experienced deep sorrow. The deceased was laid to rest on February 24, 2025, at a public cemetery in Sandal-Mahajag, Zamboanga del Sur. Despite the heavy loss, the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) expressed condolences to the bereaved family and promised necessary support.
The family of the deceased continues to demand justice regarding Daphne's death. They hope for a swift establishment of the circumstances surrounding the incident and the involvement of those responsible.
