The Philippine Embassy warned about the existence of a fraudulent website that offers the processing of police clearance for Filipinos abroad. In its statement, the embassy emphasized that the Philippine National Police officially confirmed that the site https://policeclearance.ph is fraudulent and warned the public against using it for any transactions.
"The Philippine National Police confirmed that this site is fraudulent and unauthorized. Requests for police clearance must only be processed through the official PNP website," the statement read on Facebook.
The embassy also reminded the public of the need to exercise caution when accessing unverified links and to conduct transactions only through official government agency websites.
"The public is advised to be careful when clicking on links from unknown persons or institutions and to ensure they transact only with authorized government agency websites to avoid compromising personal information," the statement said.
At this moment, the embassy recommends everyone to adhere to the law and conduct all requests for police clearance processing only through the official PNP website.
