The Embassy of the Philippines in the UAE calls on all registered Filipino voters to cast their votes online until the deadline of May 12 at 15:00 UAE time. This is the last week of the remote voting period, which began on April 13. "If you are a registered voter, please participate in online registration to vote from May 7 to 12 until 15:00 UAE time. Our Embassy is open (even on weekends) for the provision of personal assistance," noted the Embassy.
Registered voters must first undergo online registration to gain access to the voting platform. Voters can also connect via email (email protected) or via hotlines through calls or WhatsApp (+971-50-741-8683).
"Do not miss the opportunity to take part in shaping the future of our country," said the Embassy representative.
The first-ever online voting system is part of a Commission on Elections (COMELEC) initiative to facilitate the participation of Filipinos abroad in national elections, allowing them to vote via internet-enabled devices without leaving their workplaces or homes.
This step is essential for the system to identify the identity of the voter and provide the opportunity to vote. To assist voters, the Embassy is open every day, including weekends, to provide personal assistance.
