San Miguel Corporation CEO Ramon Ang clarified on Thursday, November 20, that he has no plans to enter politics, addressing circulating online reports suggesting his name was being considered as a “stabilizing force” amid political and economic challenges in the country.
Ang emphasized that he intends to remain focused on his business endeavors, infrastructure projects, and support for government and community programs, where he believes he can make the most meaningful impact.
“Our country is facing many challenges, and it is understandable that people want things resolved quickly. But moving forward will never depend on one individual,” Ang said.
“It will take the government, private sector, and the public all moving in the same direction,” he added.
He also stressed his commitment to contributing as a “dependable partner” to national development rather than pursuing a political role.
