Duterte's Satisfaction Rating Rises, Palace Urges Public Not to Trust Polls

The Palace announced a margin of error of ±3 percent for national figures and ±6 percent for Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao. Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Claire Castro stated she hopes the survey results will not mislead the public on who is “really working,” following a rise in Vice President Sara Duterte’s net satisfaction rating in the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey. According to the survey conducted from Nov. 24 to Nov. 30 last year, 54 percent of respondents were satisfied with Duterte's performance, while 26 percent expressed dissatisfaction—a six-point increase from her September rating. The same survey showed 40 percent were satisfied with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s performance, while 43 percent said they were dissatisfied. “Whatever those numbers are, the truth is, the President is the one working, and some are just on vacation and that cannot be denied by anyone,” Castro said in response to the results. She added that survey ratings should not serve as a “deception” regarding who is genuinely fulfilling their duties. The nationwide survey was conducted via face-to-face interviews with 1,200 adults aged 18 and above.
