President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. reaffirmed his commitment to the fight against hunger and poverty. This statement was made during the presentation of the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) in MalacaƱang. The president said: "We gathered here to renew the commitment: no Filipino should have to sleep hungry, and no community should be left without attention in our fight against poverty."

He also promised to improve the productivity of agriculture, support fishermen and food producers to ensure more nutritious food. The president directed all government agencies and local authorities to join him in efforts to achieve zero hunger, food security, and food safety, as well as sustainable agriculture.

The signing of the Joint Memorandum Circular on Circular Letter establishes an alliance of 34 partners, including national agencies and international organizations, to work together and make the Philippines a place where no Filipino will go hungry. Furthermore, guiding principles will be developed for the EPAHP program to ensure the alignment of actions among all agencies, organizations, and partners in their programs and projects.
