Pasay courts have dismissed all accusations against actress and business leader Neri Naig-Miranda related to syndicated fraud and violations of the law on valuable papers. This terminated all suspicions regarding Naig-Miranda's involvement in the investment scam Dermacare.
In an official statement published by her husband Chito Miranda, the law firm FLO Attorneys-at-Law confirmed that the Regional Trial Court of Pasay (RTC) Branch 112 issued a ruling in favor of Naig-Miranda, noting that there was a lack of evidence in the case against her.
Lawyer Neri Naig-Miranda, Aureli Sinsuat welcomed the court's decision, asserting that she was falsely accused. The RTC Branch 111 rejected complaints accusing Naig-Miranda of violating the Law on the Use of Valuable Papers, thereby strengthening her legal defense.
The court ruled that the complainants never had direct dealings with Naig-Miranda and did not give her any money, which undermines the foundation of the fraud accusations. The decision followed investigations by Pasay prosecutors, who found no sufficient bases to bring allegations against her.
Meanwhile, Chito Miranda expressed gratitude to those who supported his wife during this legal ordeal. In his message, he wrote: "To those who decided to stand up and protect my wife, thank you very much."
